Marisa Rawlins-Bradfield, a native of Los Angeles, has been a prominent figure in the choral community for over twenty years. From a young age, she showcased her vocal talent on radio, television, feature films, and performing with esteemed vocal ensembles across the United States. For the past fifteen years, Marisa has served as Choral Music Director at Providence High School in Burbank, California, where she has played a pivotal role in the performing arts department and the broader community.

Her dedication to music education and vocal arts extends to higher education, as she serves on the voice faculty at Pierce College in Woodland Hills, California. In Spring 2024, Marisa accepted the position of Vocal Jazz Director at Santa Monica College, marking a significant expansion of her influence in vocal performance and education in Los Angeles. Beyond her teaching roles, Marisa is deeply passionate about the art of singing and believes in being of professional service, holding three terms as Vice President of the Southern California Vocal Association (SCVA) Vocal Solo Competition and as Music Director at Toluca Lake Methodist Church and Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Granada Hills, conducting both adult and children’s choruses.

In past years, she served as Artistic Director of the Los Angeles All-Diocese Queen of Angels Honor Choir, Artistic Director of the San Fernando Valley Youth Chorus, and Choral Director at the Los Angeles Music and Art School (LAMusArt), leading performances at prestigious venues such as the Luckman Performing Arts Center, The Ford Amphitheater, The Broad Stage, and The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.

Marisa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from California State University, Northridge, where she studied with Paul Smith, and attended Mount San Antonio College where she studied with Bruce Rogers. Ms. Bradfield holds a Master of Arts degree in Music Education and Teaching Credential from the University of Southern California, where she was honored with the USC Flora L. Thornton School of Music 2009 Honors Convocation, D ’Addario Foundation Achievement Award. In Fall 2022, Marisa returned to USC to pursue her Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Choral Music.

Throughout her career, Marisa has worked with a diverse range of students, including professional recording artists, conservatory students, and enthusiasts. Her students have achieved notable success, appearing on major networks and stages such as the Disney Channel, Lifetime, ABC, the Hollywood Bowl, Luckman Performing Arts Center, and the Ford Amphitheater. Marisa enjoys coaching students on audition preparation, guiding successful acceptances to prestigious institutions including the University of Southern California, Berklee College of Music, Boston Conservatory, UCLA, Chapman University, the Los Angeles County High School of the Arts, and the Colburn School of Music.
